Furnished, semi-furnished or unfurnished?

Furnishing labels are convenient, but they are not a substitute for an inventory. Two apartments described as semi-furnished may include very different fittings. The best option depends on what you already own, how quickly you need to move and how much responsibility you want for setting up the home.
Ask what is actually included
Request a room-by-room list of furniture, appliances and fixed fittings. Distinguish items included in the rental from objects shown only for presentation. Ask about the condition of appliances and any known faults. If a furnished home is appealing because it saves setup effort, confirm that the included items meet your needs before assuming the move will be straightforward.
Compare effort as well as rent
An unfurnished apartment may allow greater control over layout and style, but consider transport, assembly and installation tasks. A furnished option may reduce those tasks while introducing restrictions on replacing or storing items. Ask who handles repairs and how changes are approved. Record these expectations in the appropriate agreement with professional advice where required.
Make your preference easy to match
Tell the community team which items are essential and which are optional. For example, a wardrobe may be necessary while a dining table is not. At handover, document the agreed inventory and visible condition with permission. Browse rental listings by furnishing preference and send a clear requirement rather than relying only on the category name.
Independent community service
Brigade Valencia Community is an independent property enquiry service, not the official developer website or an appointed representative of the owners association. Listing availability, prices, photographs and terms require owner confirmation. An enquiry is not a reservation or a payment commitment.
